  JEREMY

  Guess what this nut bought?

  IAN

  What?

  JEREMY

  Beer!

  MONIQUE & IAN

  What? How?

  TEDDY

  With my money.

  IAN

  But you are under age.

  TEDDY

Well to be honest with you all, I am 19. I failed my 7th & 8th grade year. I had a lot of personal issues that was going on. My grades dropped. I stopped talking to everyone. So you know how the system is, they felt that it was an intellectual thing. They tested me and I intentionally fail. But I do have a problem with comprehending a lot of things that I read. So I was stamped with a Specific Learning Disability in Reading Comprehension. It’s not a big thing to me. That is why I was about to whip you ass when you said (turning towards Jeremy) that you all had never taking Ms. Welton. I knew she was a SpEd teacher. I used to be embarrassed about it.

  JEREMY

Dude I want to apologize if you thought that I was trying to start something but I was just saying that we didn’t take her for anything.

  TEDDY

It’s all good. So, does anyone want a beer?

  MONIQUE

Still you are under age, how did you get it?

  TEDDY

  Not in Alabama.

  JEREMY

You my boy (giving him a hand shake).

Teddy began to pass everyone a beer. Monique refused because she was driving. Monique warned everyone that if they see a police car to make sure to put it down. The guys were happy because that meant an extra one for them.

After two more hours passed, Ian pointed out a sign that read, “Nashville 5 miles”. Everyone was happy. Teddy reached in the box to grab his last beer. He told everyone else that there were only two left. Jeremy quickly crushed his can and asked for another one. Monique made it clear that when they arrived on Fisk’s campus everyone is to be leveled headed.

  JEREMY (slurring his words)

We ain’t going by the hotel first?

  MONIQUE

No time. I have an appointment with the Dean of Students at one. I don’t want to get to the hotel and you guys start playing.

  JEREMY (still slurring)

  Ain’t nobody gonna play.

  TEDDY

I promise you that we will be on our best behavior Mommy.

  MONIQUE

You think you funny. But if you all get here and clown I promise you I am going up side someone’s head.

Jeremy, Ian, and Teddy all responded by saying, “Yes ma’am” at the same time. They all burst out laughing.

Monique told Ian to put the address of the university into the GPS. He grabbed a letter from the console to get the address. After pressing enter the GPS started to give the final directions.

Within fifteen minutes they were driving onto the campus. Ian noted that it was a beautiful campus. Monique stopped at the gate to get directions to the Dean of Students office.

A big smile came across Monique’s face when she pulled up to the building. She felt that she was at home. They all exited the car and looked around in circles. Jeremy said that he was going to walk the campus while Monique went to talk to the dean. Teddy and Ian joined him.

While they were walking they spotted students that were lounging on the campus, some riding bikes, and some rushing off to class.

Some boys saw Teddy, Ian, and Jeremy walking around looking lost. One of the boys from the group raced over to them. He had a boyish face; he stood about 5’8” with a caramel skin complexion. He sported a shirt with a tiger face on it with Alpha Delta Xi (ΑΔΞ) across the top.

  TYSON

  Hey sup fellow?

  JEREMY

Nothing much man. Sup with u?

  TYSON

  Chillin…Do you guy go here?

  JEREMY

Naw. We are just touring the campus. A friend of ours is thinking about coming here.

  TYSON

That’s what’s up. Look we are having a party tonight at our frat house. (Racing back to his group to get something out of his bag.)

Look here is a flyer with the address on it. I would like to see you all there.

  JEREMY

Yeah we will try to make.

They all exchange handshakes. Ian took the flyer from Jeremy to read it. He thought an actual frat party. That was pretty exciting for a first visit. But he knew that it might be hard to convince Monique to go.

  EIGHT

Dennis and I entered our hotel room. Dennis flopped down on his bed from exhaustion. I looked at him, shook my head and started laughing. Dennis let out a sign and told me that he was tired from the flight.

I went into the bathroom to freshen up. While in the bathroom I picked up my cell phone to call my cousin Richard. Richard picked up the phone on the first ring.

  RICHARD

What is going on kin folk?

  JACOB

Nothing much. We just got into the hotel. I said let me give my cousin a call.

  RICHARD

I am glad that you did. How long did you say you were going to be in the city?

  JACOB

Three days. I have a conference in the morning at G.L.F. Youth Center, Saturday I will be at some conference a friend hooked me up with, Saturday night I am chilling, Sunday I wanted to go to church and Sunday afternoon, catching a plane back home.

  RICHARD

OK, sound like you have a full agenda. I thought that maybe we could hang out. Maybe go to Playground.

  JACOB

Is Playground the club we went to before?

  RICHARD

  Yes.

  JACOB

  You must be at work?

  RICHARD

  I am. Why?

  JACOB

Well I am glad that you are…I need a favor. There is a friend of mine that was in prison in New York. I was wondering if you could maybe look in your system to find a current address or preferably a phone number for me.

  RICHARD

Bitch you want me to lose my job?

  JACOB

Noooooooooooooo…. I really need this. We kind of lost touch when he was released and I moved.

  RICHARD

  What is his name?

  JACOB

Thanks cuz. His name is Kywong D’Wayne Johnson.

  RICHARD

Tall, thick brutha. Wear a mo’hawk.

  JACOB

  Yeah.

  RICHARD

Chile, I know Ky. He is always at the Playground.

  JACOB

Stop lying. You just trying to get me to go out.

  RICHARD

Ok, I am telling you. He is so damn fine. I should have known he used to be in prison.

  JACOB

  Trix, give me the number.

  RICHARD

212.555.4651. He lives 2337 West Lake St.

  JACOB

Thank you. I owe you big.

  RICHARD

  Go to Playground with me?

  JACOB

  Yes, Saturday night.

  RICHARD

OK.OK. I will get with you later.

When I pressed end on my phone I could not help but look in the mirror and smile at myself. I was excited that I was going to finally get to meet Kywong after all this time.

I turned the shower on to get the water at the right temperature. I grab my wash cloth, bath gel and shampoo. I washed my hair first. Afterward, I begin to lather. Once I got to my midsection my mind thought about how it would feel for Kywong to be lathering me.

I noticed that my manhood began to rise. I thought that maybe I should release this tension. Ah man, how this would feel.

Let me come back to reality. I have been in this shower for close to thirty minutes. I looked down and noticed that my dick was still rock. I got out of the shower and dried off. I wrapped the towel around my waist. The mirror was fogged from the shower.

I left the bathroom and went into the bedroom where Dennis was watch
ing TV. He noticed that my dick print was showing through my towel.

  DENNIS

You could have taken care of that in the bathroom.

  JACOB

  What are you talking about?

Dennis pointed at my dick. I jumped on his playfully. We pretended to wrestle for a minute.

Amazing this bought back feeling of wrestling with Ellis. Once Dennis and I got off of each other, he went into the bathroom to take a shower.

I decided that I would take this time to try the number to Kywong. I was a little bit nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. I dialed the number and waited for someone to answer but no one did. I never knew that I could be disappointed and relieved at the same time.

Aretha was preparing dinner waiting for Monique to get in from school. She decided that she would make shrimp alfredo, garlic bread, a chef salad and her famous lemon tea.

She called and invited Mattie over to join them for dinner. Mattie declined the first offer but with a little convincing from Aretha she came right over.

  MATTIE

What time should Monique come home?

  ARETHA

It is almost 6:30. She should have already been here unless she is hanging out with her friends.

  MATTIE

Jacob has a nice house. Do you think that he will get into another relationship?

  ARETHA

Chile, I don’t know. As far as I know I don’t think that he is even dating anyone. He took it hard when Ellis died. They had been together since college.

  MATTIE

Ellis was young when he passed right?

  ARETHA

Yes. He was only 25 years old.

  MATTIE

I can’t imagine what that must have been like, to see him shoot himself. Ree maybe you should help Jacob get back out there and start dating. No one should ever be alone.

  ARETHA

I don’t get in his business. If he is happy by himself, I am happy for him. Besides you and I am not dating anyone. But I do have an occasional visitor.

  MATTIE

I have you to know that I have been going out. I don’t tell you everything.

  ARETHA

I know about you and Jeffery.

  MATTIE (looking shocked)

WHAT? What are you talking about?

  ARETHA

I saw y’all at Red Lobster on Frontage Road. You think you are something. Then feeding his old ass. I bet he can’t get it up. (Laughing)

  MATTIE

Jeffery takes good care of all of this.

Aretha looked at the clock on the wall. She was getting concerned about Monique being late. She decided that she would call Monique to see what time she would be coming home.

The phone rang three times and it went to voicemail. Aretha dialed her number again and it did not ring, it went straight to voicemail.

Aretha really began to fret. She knew that something must have been wrong because Monique always answer her phone. The conversation that she and Monique had this morning came to her about not going to Nashville. Aretha thought, “I bet that little hussy went to Nashville anyway.” By this time, Aretha was getting upset. One, because she told her that she didn’t think that she should go because her dad would be so far away. Two, she was deliberately not answering her phone.

Aretha turned her attention to call me and tell me what was going on. She pressed my picture on her phone and the phone began to rings.

  JACOB

  Hey Auntie.

  ARETHA

Jacob, it is close to 7 o’clock and Monique is not here. I tried calling her twice and I am getting her voicemail.

  JACOB

I am sure everything is alright. She might be at Chucky’s with her friends.

Just as Aretha was about to start her next words, her phone beeped.

  ARETHA

Hang on Jacob this is her calling me back

She clicked over to talk to Monique.

  ARETHA

  Hello.

  MONIQUE

  Hey Auntie, you called.

  ARETHA (frustrated)

Didn’t you see my number on your phone? Where the hell are you?

  MONIQUE

Auntie, why are you hollering? I am with some friends hanging out.

  ARETHA

You didn’t think to call me and tell me that you were going to be late.

There was a loud crash in the background of Monique’s phone. She hinted for everyone to be quiet and then she walked into the bathroom of the hotel room so that Aunt Aretha could not hear anything.

  ARETHA

  What was that?

  MONIQUE

  Nothing.

  ARETHA

Lil’ girl don’t you lie to me. I hear some boys in the background. Are you in Nashville?

Monique was hesitant to answer her Aunt Aretha. Aretha stated that she was waiting on an answer. Monique told her that she was indeed in Nashville. Aretha was upset about that. She told Monique that her dad was on call waiting. Monique said that she was going to be careful and would be home by Sunday. Then there was silence on the phone. Aretha had clicked over to Jacob.

  ARETHA

That girl is in Nashville. Now I told her that I didn’t think that it was a good idea for her to go up there with you being in New York.

  JACOB

Aunt Ree, I forgot to tell you that I told her to go. You are right I should have told her to reschedule.

  ARETHA

I have cooked dinner and everything. This girl is five hours away in drive time. You are two hours in flight time away.

  JACOB

Why are you so technical? Auntie I apologize for saying anything. I should have known something was up when you call me “Jacob”.

  ARETHA

I’m just saying. You are spoiling that girl. You need to….

I stopped her in mid-sentence. I could not take listening to hear rant and rave about how I am raising my child.

  MATTIE

  Is everything ok?

  ARETHA

That hussy got her ass in Nashville. When I tried to explain to Papadopoulos how I felt he cut me off.

  MATTIE

Well just a few minutes ago you said that you don’t get involved in his personal life.

  ARETHA

  That is his love life.

  MATTIE

  Same difference.

  ARETHA

Fix you a plate and leave me alone right now.

  TEN

Tyson and two of his fraternity brothers came over to the hotel where Jeremy and his friends are staying. Tyson introduced Jeremy, Monique, Ian, and Teddy to “Expression Punch”. It was a famous punch that his fraternity only knew the ingredients to.

After having a few six ounce cups of the punch, everyone was beginning to feel the effects of it.

Monique convinced them to stay at the hotel instead of going out. She was not much of a club person. So to appease her they all decided to stay. Tyson was not too happy about it because he was sponsoring the party.

Around 9:30 that night Tyson received a text that read, “The party has been closed down. A group of Upsilon Tau (ΥΤ) came in and started some shit. Merrick pulled out his gun and started shooting. You better be glad you weren’t here.” By this time Tyson was pissed and wanted to leave.

He explained to everyone what had happened. Monique said that is why she don’t do clubs.

Tyson tuned the TV to a music station. Jeremy and Ian played spades with the two guys that came with Tyson. Tyson said that he had the down. The down is the term used for the person who will play the winners.

Teddy was sitting on the bed talking to Monique. They both were really enjoying the conversation. They talked about his mother and her demons, school, future goals and plans, and relationships.

Tyson went to pour himself another cup of punch. Before he made it to the pitcher, Plies song “You” came on the TV. Tyson broke out into a dance. Everyone stated to laugh at him b
ut the card game continued. Teddy asked Monique to dance.

He grinded on her while singing the lyrics in her ear,

Feeling the effects of the punch and the music, Monique began to push herself closer on Teddy. Teddy felt his manhood start to stiffen. He nibbled on her ear which caused her let out a soft moan as she dug her fingers into his back. She felt wetness in her pants. They were both lost into each other. Just as Teddy was about to kiss her neck the song went off.

  ELEVEN

Tyson and his friends left the hotel. Monique was in the shower while Teddy, Ian, and Jeremy were talking and finishing off the punch.

  IAN

I don’t know what is in that punch but I am horny as hell.

  TEDDY

I thought that it was just me. Look, can I confide in you fellows?

  JEREMY

  Yeah. Sure.

  TEDDY

I am really feeling Monique. Do you think that she might date someone like me?

  JEREMY

Date someone like you? Hell I thought that y’all were gonna have relations when you where dancing.

  IAN

I know right. I thought about leaving going to find me something to get into.

  JEREMY

  Like what?

  TEDDY (interrupting Ian)

I think I might ask her to go out with me when we get home.

  JEREMY

Yeah, yeah. Ian what were you thinking about getting into?

  IAN

Man, I don’t know. Listening to the music and watching these two nuts dancing, my mind got to roaming. Plus when I drink I get horny.

  JEREMY

  Wow.

  TEDDY

Can we get back to the issue at hand here? I am really digging her. Does she date anyone right now?

  IAN

Naw. She used to date this guy Ramsey.

  TEDDY

  What happened with them?

  IAN

Ramsey was two years older that her. He graduated from high school and went to Xavier University to study pre-med.

  TEDDY

Still that doesn’t explained why they broke up.
